Ventilator Management Certification

Advances in medical technology have evolved the nature of mechanical ventilation. This makes it imperative for healthcare workers to acquire adequate knowledge of mechanical ventilation and understand relevant implications of different modes of ventilations.

PHTC objective of this comprehensive Ventilator Management Course is to enable the student to be able to describe mechanical ventilation as related ventilation, identify indications, complications, and physiologic effects of mechanical ventilation.
Admission Requirements for Ventilator Management Certification (VMC): Interest in working in the medical field with critical ill patients. Must meet the PTHC minimum admission requirements as set forth in PTHC admission policies.

Price: $650.00 including materials and certification.

Program Completion Requirements: A minimum of 6 hours theory and 2 hours of simulation in a skills lab. Must get a minimum average of 73% in theory on written test.
There is no California state examination for Ventilator Management Certification (VMC). Certification is issued by PTHC.
